From ancient Egyptian soldiers to Viking raiders, from Native American warriors to Napoleonic sailors and even the Dwarves of Middle Earth, the axe has been the weapon of choice for many fighters. In a hands-on workshop, the Sword Conservatory will introduce and explain how the axe can be utilized offensively and defensively, including disarming techniques. After learning the theory and skills for axe fighting, you can challenge our personnel in bouts with padded safety weapons.
Tickets are $25 per person and include 1 complimentary cocktail or beverage.
Each class is one hour. Choose from the 2pm or 3pm class.
