How to Purchase A Used Bourbon Barrel From Mystic
Mystic Farm & Distillery will periodically have leftover used bourbon barrels after we have extracted and bottled the mature bourbon within. Our barrels make great gifts, furniture, or talking pieces for anyone who appreciates great craftsmanship and whiskey! At this time, we do not have a concise inventory of used barrels due to the nature of aging bourbon. We are also not able to predict exactly when barrels will become available. Additionally, we are selling our used barrels for $200 a barrel. To assist us with meeting demands, we have created a waitlist for those seriously interested in purchasing a barrel.
If you are interested in purchasing a barrel, please follow the instructions below:
The Waitlist SignUp & How It Works
1. Please "purchase" a ticket below and provide your information through the forms so that we may contact you when a barrel has become available. The "tickets" are $0 and serve as a confirmation that you are on the waitlist. Please only select 1 ticket unless you'd like to purchase more than 1 barrel.
2. When a barrel (or barrels) have become available, we will contact the earliest sign up first. We will most likely contact you via email unless otherwise specified in your response.
3. We will allow 3 business days from the point of contact for a response. If we do not receive a response within 3 business days, we may extend the offer to the next person on the list.
4. If you still wish to purchase a barrel after we've contacted you, please make an appointment with our staff for pickup and payment. We do not offer shipping, but we can usually assist with loading the barrel. Each barrel is $200, and you will not need to pay until the day of pickup.
5. If you miss your appointment without notice, we will contact you to attempt a reschedule. If we have not heard back within 3 business days of contact, we may extend the offer to the next person on the list.
6. Pickup is only available during our regular business hours (Wednesdays-Sundays). Please see our website: www.whatistmystic.com for the hours of operation as they vary from day to day.
Please keep in mind that we run on the schedule of bourbon. We cannot predict, with certainty, when barrels will be available for individual purchase. If you have not heard from us after signing up on the waitlist, it is most likely because we do not have any used barrels available. Thank you for your understanding!
